Store Policies

Some of these store policies may be specific to Southern Illinois

Aldi

1) They are a no frills store that sells mostly their own brands.

2) They do not accept coupons

3) You must bring your own or purchase bags

4) You will need a quarter for your cart.

Kroger

1)  Having a Kroger loyalty card is very important to get Krogers sale prices, if you do not already have one go to the service desk to sign up for one.

2) Kroger accepts manufacturer coupons, Kroger Coupons and internet printable coupons as well as electronic coupons.

3) At Kroger you can use a coupon with sales, clearance and Managers Specials as well as everyday prices.

4) Kroger doubles all coupons up to 50 cents. (this varies in other states)

Target

1)  The accept Target issued coupons and Manufacturer coupons including internet Printables. (check out the Target coupon policy)

2) Sometimes you will find “Target” coupons in news papers. They will have the Target symbol on them. Sometimes you will receive “Target” Coupons in the mail. You can also print “Target” coupons online here

3) You can combine a Target coupon and a manufacturer coupon on one item to maximize savings

4) Coupons can be used on clearance items or items that are less than the amount of the coupon. According to the coupon policy above the cashier can adjust the coupon down to make the item free. I personally have had cashiers who adjusted the coupon and some who allow it to go through as is which gives you overage. I wouldn’t expect the overage but be happy when you get it.

Walgreens

1)Walgreen Does Not use a loyalty card.  At least for now, I am reading rumors that it is coming.

2) Walgreens accepts manufacturers coupons as well as store coupons.

3) At Walgreens you can use a manufacturer coupon and a store coupon on the same item.

4) You can find Walgreen’s store coupons in their weekly ad as well as in a monthly coupon booklet in the store near the ads.

5) At Walgreens you can earn Register Rewards for buying certain items.  Register Rewards are like Walgreens money and can be used on anything in the store with the exception of lottery tickets, prescriptions, gift cards, tobacco or alcohol.

6) Register Rewards print out from a little machine called a Catalina Machine that sits right beside where the receipt comes out.

7) You can use a coupon when purchasing an item that will produce a Register Reward

8 ) You can use a Register Reward to pay for an item that will produce a Register Reward as long as it is not the same exact item. ie. You can’t get a Register Reward from buying Tide then turn around and buy another Tide, pay with that Register Reward and get another Register Reward. However you can buy take the Register Reward from Tide and buy anything else that produces a Register Reward and it will work.

9) You must have the same amount of items as you have manufacturers coupons.  Register Rewards count as manufacturers coupons.  So if you are buying 3 items and you have a coupon for each item plus you want to use 2 Register Rewards you will need 2 filler items. Filler items are those things that can be found around the store that are extremely inexpensive.

Walmart

1) They accept manufacturer and internet printable coupons

2) You can price match other stores ads at Walmart

3) Walmart will match prices to any local competitors ad that are during the ad’s active dates.

-They do not match buy 1 get one
-They do not match percent off
