Where do I get my coupons?
The Sunday paper – For my local readers the St. Louis Post Dispatch is what I buy. It generally has more coupons than Southern Illinoisan. However if you are wanting to have the physical store ads for our local area I suggest picking up 1 Southern Illinoisian, as the St. Louis will not have our store ads in it.
Magazines – a lot of magazines are having coupons inside these days. All You is one that has a quite a bit of coupons every month. However I do not pay or pay very much for magazines, I have gotten a lot of free or very low priced subscriptions online.
Printable Coupons: Printable coupons are everywhere! There are many online resources that I use, below you will find my favorites (including some electronic coupons). Click the banners to visit their website
Cellfire offers electronic coupons that can be added to your Kroger or Kroger affiliate loyalty card.
Coupons.com is one of my favorites! They always have plenty of great printable coupons available.
For most of the printable coupon sites above you can print two of each coupon.
How many Sunday papers do I buy?
Typically I purchase 2 Sunday papers, on a rare occasion I buy 4. If I know that it is going to be a super hot week for coupons I will go ahead and get 4 so I can do a little stocking up.
How do I sort my coupons?
Sorting the coupons has been difficult for me. I have been back and forth trying to decide what method I want to use. Right now I still use my zippered binder. I have about a dozen baseball card sleeves in the front and I clip only what I know or am pretty sure I will use. Then I keep all the rest of my inserts in the back of my binder so I can pull them out whenever I need a coupon I haven’t clipped.
