About Me

IMG_6712

My name is Amber and I am a stay at home/work from home mom. Gary is my wonderful and supportive husband of almost 18 years and we are blessed with two daughters Emeri (16) and Jonah (13).

I am saved by the grace of God and I am on a constant journey to know him more intimately.

I have a lot of family that live close and I get to spend time with them often including my Mom, Stepdad, 2 Sisters and their husbands and my 7 nieces and nephews who I love so much.

Growing up my Mom was always so smart with the money that we had however for whatever reason that didn’t spill over onto me.  My husband and I made many mistakes in the first 13 or so years of our marriage moneywise.  This included frivolous  purchases, credits cards and more.  Then just a little over 3 years ago I came across a couple websites about saving money.

It was the summer of 2008 and somehow I stumbled across MommySnacks(now Savings Lifestyle) and Money Saving Mom.  I knew very little about blogs, saving money or coupons but it was definitely time to learn.  I started using coupons, I started finding ways to save money on bills and I started this blog.

For me this was the beginning of getting my life/finances under control and although it has been a long journey it has definitely paid off.

As for S.I. Money Savers, it is my accountability to keep me on track with my grocery budget, it is a place where I can share my heart about giving and helping others, it’s a place to talk about couponsfreebiessimple ways to save – and hot deals, and I love posting about my family.

Thank you for visiting! :)
