Shop to Give July & August 2011
I find Summer to be a difficult time to keep any major donations going. If I am not really out hunting down the deals for myself then I am not out hunting down the deals for donations either.
I didn’t post for July because I only had collected a very small amount. I do not have a picture of my July and August items (my kitchen is totally turned upside down right now) but I will give you an idea of what I had.
I had a bunch of deodorant, toothpaste, spaghettios, peanut butter, a couple boxes of pasta, some OTC medicines and feminine products. All of these items I took to my sister. She has 5 kids 8 and under and she is a little too busy right now to do any serious couponing.
My girls also went through all their clothes again before school started and we had 3 more Walmart size bags stuffed full to take to the Ministerial Alliance.
I am very excited to be back out hitting up the deals. My husband mentioned the other day that he wanted me to make sure I was getting plenty of donation items now that I am back to bargain hunting.
Giving to others really isn’t hard at all! Whether you offer up a free night of babysitting to a family in your church or cook a meal for neighbor or family member, I promise you will make their day.

Couponing has given us an advantage to frequently come across lots of free or nearly free items that so many families can use. Getting those items and donating them to a local homeless shelter, women’s shelter, salvation army etc. is such a wonderful way to help out others in need and not cost a fortune. I challenge you to take even a small amount of your bargain hunting bounty and pass it on….you will be glad you did! ![]()

I feel the same way Amber! I haven’t had the time to do much of any bargain shopping this summer so very few donations. I’m hoping to start shopping at Rite Aid again this week so that should help too!!
I totally wish we had a Rite Aid, Heather!
