Healthier French Toast
I am really not sure if you could ever consider French Toast healthy but the French Toast we had on Thursday night was by far the healthiest we have ever eaten. What could have made it healthier? If we would have topped it with fruit instead.
I mixed 4 Organic Cage Free eggs with about 3/4 cup Organic Skim Milk then sprinkled in lots of Cinnamon. Not really sure how much I am so bad about not measuring. I whisked these ingredients together well.

I used Organic Whole Wheat bread, the slices are larger than your basic loaf of bread and thicker. Any thick bread will work well with French Toast.
I dipped the slices into the egg mixture making sure that both sides get coated well.

I cooked the bread slices in a lightly greased skillet on medium heat making sure that each side was done. To me done is when the bread no longer feels moist to the touch.

I put 2 slices on each plate and sprinkled with a little more cinnamon and some powdered sugar. Then I drizzled on 2 TBS of Organic Maple Syrup and the French Toast was ready to be eaten.
This was the first time we tried the new Maple Syrup and it was delicious and the flavor was very rich. As for the French Toast it didn’t have a chance.
