Tech Thrifty Thursday: How to Check Your Internet Speed

Do I have fast internet service? There are upload speeds, download speeds, dsl internet connection speed, cable internet connection speed…all these “speeds”, but how can I check my internet connection speed and what does it all mean?

It’s easy, and it’s completely free.  This post is about a great free online internet connection speed tool that I’ve found to check all of these things and determine if you truly have high speed internet service.

Let’s face it, we are busy people.  For most of us, gone are the days of dial-up speeds that still make me cringe when thinking about them.  We need information, and we need it in a hurry.  But the speed of that information all comes down to being able to know how fast things happen when I click a link, download an item, etc.

Many ISP’s (Internet Service Providers-Verizon, Comcast, etc) promise a certain upload speed and download speed, but are YOU getting what they promised could be possible?  It’s time to check
