50 Ways to Save Even if You Aren’t a Coupon Queen (11-15)

11) Eat at Home instead of Eating out: This one can be difficult for me at times especially if I don’t menu plan that week. Some nights take out calls my name and I give in. However eating at home is always cheaper.
12) Cook With Whole Ingredients: Making meals with whole ingredients is not only better for your health but it is better for your wallet. Premade meals while very easy to prepare are full of ingredients you can’t pronounce and can be quite pricey.
13) Cook One Meatless Meal a Week: Cooking one meatless meal a week is another way to drop your grocery bill. Here are a few of our favorites: Lentil Tacos, Brown Rice and Lentil Casserole, Lentil Chili
14) Occasionally eat Breakfast for Dinner: This is one that my kids love! Usually at least twice a month we eat breakfast for dinner. Breakfast can be very inexpensive. Try Pancakes, Waffles or Bacon and Eggs. Tonight we are having Egg Sandwiches on Bagels. Something else my kids love is this Homemade Cinnamon Syrup easy and inexpensive. I haven’t bought regular syrup since we discovered it.
15) When you do go out to eat be conscious of your choices: Go when kids are free, use restaurant coupons, make smart menu choices, eat off the value menu. You can still enjoy eating out occasionally and not blow your budget.
