January 2010 Shopping Recap
-->January was a 3 payday month, the 3rd payday fell right at the end of the month. So I have a total of 5 weeks shopping. My budget is $175 a payday (two weeks). That gives me a budget of $437.50 for the 5 shopping weeks in January.
(each link below goes to the details of each of my shopping trips)
Week 1 I spent $98 dollars shopping at Target, Walmart, Kroger, CVS, Walgreens and Walmart again.
Week 2 I spent $63.79 shopping at Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Kroger, CVS
Week 3 I spent $94.34 shopping at Target, Kroger, CVS
Week 4 I spent $52.88 shopping at Kroger, Walgreens and Kroger again.
Week 5 I spent $96.62 shopping at Kroger and Walmart
For a Grand Total of $405.63!!
I also purchased $33 worth of coupons during that time period. Bringing my spending total to $438.63.
Items above before store sales and coupons would have been $1094.43. This gives me a savings of $688.80 thats a 60% overall savings!!

No doubt!! Did you see Collin’s video on Hip2Save?
I totally wish we had more natural/organic stores around here because my budget has really went up since we cut a bunch of things out of our diet.
Oh well! )

Yes I did. I just couldn’t get over it. I think I had bad dreams that night because I couldn’t score deals like that around here!! lol
Yeah that food is more expensive. I need to re-evaluate my eating… i’m not a very good eater!! lol
There’s a health food store in Paducah. Never been there, but if you ever have to come this way for any reason you should check it out.
The way I see it though is after paying for gas you don’t really save anything driving down here. That’s why i don’t shop at target…
