title pic Tackle it Tuesday: Easy Christmas Candy

Posted by Amber on January 5, 2010

Just before Christmas I was searching the internet looking for something good to make to take for Christmas dinner. I didn’t want to bring my usual casserole type side dish or dessert from the local bakery. I wanted to make something really yummy.

I just happened across a blog called Wanna Make Something of It that had an easy tutorial on making Christmas Candy.  I figured this was something I could do.

I only made 3 out of her 4 listed candies and followed her directions to the letter.  You can check out her complete instructions here.

This first one I made was Winter Bark, below is a before pic.  This was by far my favorite. It was simple and delicious!!

Next I made the Rolo Pretzel Turtles.  Also very easy and very yummy!

Finally the easiest of all.  I took the leftover melted white and milk chocolate and dipped a whole bunch of pretzels.

When everything had set I lined a large container with wax paper and layered in all the yummy candy.

This is something I will definitely do again.  The kids loved all the little bite sized pieces of candy as well as all the adults.
