WFMW: Candy Cane Reindeer Ornaments
This is my “Works For Me Wednesday” (WFMW) project. Jonah had an assignment this weekend to make an ornament, write out instructions and bring it back to school on Monday. So we headed out to Walmart and picked up brown pipe cleaner, googley eyes, candy canes and little puffy balls.

Since we had to buy a full package of each item and my nieces were over they all joined in for the fun. I made the first one to demonstrate to the girls the art are candy cane reindeer making.
Both of my nieces as well as Emeri and Jonah worked hard at making their Reindeer.

They diligently made antlers out of pipe cleaner, glued on googley eyes and searched for the perfect fuzzy red nose. Everyone had a great time.

Jonah began writing out her instructions so that she could turn them in at school.

After everyone completed their first ornament the posed their Candy Cane Reindeer for a photo opp and then went back to make more.

Here is Jonah’s finished assignment. She decided her reindeer needed legs.

This made for a fun and easy project. It cost about $5, they made a total of 10 ornaments and we still had some left over items.
We did use a glue gun to make everything stick. The age range of the kids were 9-13 but I am sure you could do it with younger kids, you would just have to offer up a little more help than I had to.
For an easy ornament project and fun time with the family this works for me.
